Karen gave us history the whole way up the mountain and kept going once we reached the estate — the habitat, the birds, even who has owned the property over the years. The walk up is a little steep but manageable. As a coffee lover, seeing how much care goes into one cup was a treat, and the tasting finished the morning off.

Blue Mountains Jamaica coffee tour · Kingston to the coffee farm, four pickup points
★★★★★
There were four of us, so it felt private. We were collected at 9:15 and did the whole farm walk and tasting as our own group; the coaches arrived just as we were leaving and the place filled up behind us. No time pressure at any point, and the food at the little café was very good.

Courtney pointed out sights the whole way and shared a lot of history — and I am local, so that is saying something. Errol handled the narrow winding roads safely in both directions. The guide at the farm covered the plant types, the roasts and what actually makes a good brew. Good value and seamlessly organised.

I did this on my own and enjoyed every part of it. The coffee tour was genuinely interesting and the views are beautiful. Stopping at Devon House on the way back was a nice touch. The driver was friendly, helpful and easy to talk to.

The guide was pleasant and knew his subject. The area is remarkable and the coffee is very smooth. Devon House turned out to be full of history as well.

Wayne was a first-rate guide, helpful and knowledgeable from the moment we set off. Junior, the coffee guide at the estate, took his time explaining everything. The whole day was enjoyable and the scenery is remarkable.

A superb day to the Blue Mountains and Kingston. Wayne went out of his way to make sure it worked for us. We saw a great deal and learned a lot in one day.

Really good, and Nigel was professional and informative. There is a short hike after you have learned about the coffee and tasted it. A good choice if you do not want anything too strenuous. I extended the tour on the spot for an extra fee.

Nigel the driver is excellent. Unfortunately the farm on the mountain was closed on the day we went, so we never got to do the tour itself.

I do not drink coffee — I came along for the ride with my cousin. I loved the views and the stops on the way. If I had worn trainers I would have gone down the steep part to see the beans on the bush.

A very enjoyable day with a personal guide, good scenery all around in the mountains and good coffee to sample. We would do it again next time we are in Jamaica.
